Undergraduate Students

Double Dawgs Program

The MPPPM degree can also be completed as part of the Double Dawgs 4+1 accelerated Master’s degree program. The Double Dawgs program was created to give ambitious and motivated students a competitive advantage in today’s knowledge economy. By earning both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in five years or less, students can save time and money while positioning themselves for success after graduation. This opportunity currently exists for undergraduate students in Horticulture (HORT BSA/MPPPM), Agriscience and Environmental Systems (AES BSA/MPPPM) and Environmental Resource Sciences (ERS BSES/MPPPM).

Through the Double Dawgs program, students take up to 12 credit hours of graduate-level courses as an undergraduate student that may be used to satisfy both undergraduate and graduate program requirements. This is based on continuous enrollment. Gap years following graduation are not permitted in this program.

For MPPPM Double Dawgs consideration:

  • 60 credit hours
  • Completion of the following courses with a grade of B (3.0) or higher:
    • CRSS 2010 or HORT 2000 (Crop Science or Horticulture Science Perspectives)
    • CRSS 3060/L (Soils & Hydrology)
    • BIOL 1107/L and BIOL 1108/L (Biology I and II)
    • CHEM 1211/L and CHEM 1212/L (Chemistry I and II)
